Medieval Lutes
|
There are no extant medieval lutes. Therefore, my instruments are based on 14th and 15th century iconographical sources. The very attractive 15th century pear-shaped lutes, based on the Pythagorean theorem, are available with 4 or 5 courses. |

Various models are available with two different string lengths: 55 cm -
enabling high tuning: d, g, c', f', b'. 61 cm -
the tuning would probably be A, d, g, c', f'. Click on images to enlarge! |
